CHITRAL: The district inter-school tournament started here on Wednesday in which competitions of games like football, cricket, tug-of-war and co-curricular activities like declamation contest, husne Qiraat, naat khawani will be held.
In the inaugural ceremony of the tournament, the district education officer (male) Moeenuddin Khattak and additional assistant commissioner Syed Mazhar Ali Shah highlighted the importance of sports and co-curricular activities for students.
They said that the sports made the students not only physically fit and sound but also inculcates in them some valuable norms and virtues of life through sportsman spirit.
The schools of the district has been divided into four regions of Garam Chashma, Drosh, Booni and central Chitral whose winners will compete on the district level while the sports activities will last for a month.]]>
