File photo[/caption] CHITRAL, Oct 14: Two brothers were critically injured when a recklessly-driven police Datsun knocked their motorcycle at Chitral-Booni road near Mroi on Tuesday morning. Reports said Salahuddin, a dispenser, from Barenis along with his brother Nusratullah, a primary schoolteacher, was going home from Mroi on a motorcycle when the police mobile hit them after getting out of control of the driver. As a result, the two brothers sustained serious injuries. Salahuddin, with critical head injuries, was shifted to Peshawar while his brother was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital. Talking to this correspondent at the hospital, the injured said even after eight hours of the accident the police had neither recorded his statement nor registered a case against the driver. He alleged that the police were trying to save their driver. However, when contacted, SHO Chitral Inspector Iqbal said the Koghuzi police, in whose jurisdiction the accident occurred, had registered a case against the driver under section 279 and 337 and started an investigation.—Nazir Hussain]]>
