Book on ex-Mehtar Amanul Mulk launched

CHITRAL, Aug 28: A book written by poet Muhammad Irfan on the personality of one of Chitral’s 19th century Mehtars Shah Amanul Mulk was launched at a local hotel.

Mehtar Fatehul Mulk Ali Nasir was the chief guest while Pir Zahiruddin Gilani presided over the function.

Speakers, including Shahzada Fahamul Mulk, Gul Murad Hasrat, Mulla Nigah Nigah and Afzalullah Afzal, highlighted the personality of Amanul Mulk.

Mehtar Ali Nasir told the gathering that he had already announced awards after the names of Shujaul Mulk and Nasirul Mulk for the students of Chitral. He said he would also set up Shah Amanul Mulk award for brilliant students of Chitral.

He said that he would donate an office for the Anjuman Taraqi-e-Khowar which is working for the promotion of the Khowar language.—Nazir Hussain
