PM’s business loan scheme for youth adds to frustration

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced the Youth Business Loan scheme attached with complicated requirements which are to be fulfilled before submission of the loan applications like business plan, guarantor etc.

People and especially youth community fulfilled all the conditionalities and applied for the loan with the hope that the amount of loan will be disbursed within one or two months. It is extremely regretted that not a single loan has been disbursed in District Chitral after passage of five to six months when loan application have been submitted.

The PM and his team should have done proper homework before announcing such a plan as it brought embarrassment to the government and people realize that government did not fulfill even a single commitment which it made with the public. If the government has no funds, why it befooled the people, especially the youth? The same is the case attached with provincial government self-employment loan scheme.

A large number of applicants are waiting for the loan for the last one year but they have not got any loan. Both the provincial government and federal governments badly failed in their promises of giving employment to youth through business and employment loans.

There is frustration among the youth because of the delay in disbursing the loan and the responsible government officials and especially PM Nawaz Sharif and CM Pervez Khatak are requested to take notice of the delay in disbursing of the loan for the purpose of giving employment and business opportunities to youth.
