Chitrali woman turns tables on PTI leader

ISLAMABAD, May 15: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member National Assembly (MNA) on reserved seat Nafeesa Inayatullah Khattak had to face the music in the hands of a party leader from Chitral when the former tried to block her way to the main stage especially set up for the MPs at the D-Chowk in Islamabad on May 11.

The brawl started when Falak Naz from Chitral, clad in her party’s attire, made it to the VIP stage after removing all hurdles. However, Nafeesa Khattak, who also happens to be the sister-in-law of chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak, did not like her at the VIP enclosure.

The MNA started shouting at Falak Naz to leave the stage saying she was not eligible to sit with the VVIPs. This came as a shock to Falak Naz who is an ideological worker and joined PTI, giving up her several years’ long affiliation with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). The lady from Nowshera who wanted to show her whim had to beat the brow when the brave Chitrali lady reminded her of being selected on the reserve seat.

“You cannot ask me to leave the stage because I’m the real PTI. I consider it as an insult even to talk to you. Let me remind you about your real popularity in the party and that’s the reserve seat [and] reserve seat is a slap on the face of democratically elected people”, Falak, gave a good dose of some bitter pills to the arrogant PTI aunty, which was enough to do away with her inflated ego.

In the meantime some wise PTI women lawmakers including Gulalia Wazir intervened to calm down the situation after Falak Naz rolled up her sleeves to tell the MNA from Noshera what was the worth of an ideological worker. However, Flak Naz was given a prominent place on the VIP stage especially decorated for the PTI aunties with colorful wigs.

Later, sister of PTI chairman Imran Khan turned up on the stage to console Falak Naz, leaving Nafeesa all alone at a corner of the stage. Meanwhile, Gohar Ali Khan, an ideological PTI worker from KP, in a text message to this correspondent, strongly condemned Nafeesa Khattak for misbehaving with Falak Naz and several other women from the province who came to participate in the PTI rally in Islamabad.
