PPP's founding day celebrated in Chitral

CHITRAL, Nov 30: Like other parts of the country, the workers of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chitral also celebrated the 46th founding day of the party on Saturday. pppIn this regard, a function was held at the town hall in which Muhammad Hakeem Advocate was chief guest Zahir Shah, a senior of the party, in the chair. The speakers paid rich tribute to PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and his daughter Benazir Bhutto and termed them patriots and sincere leaders of the nation. They said Mr Bhutto established the PPP in 1967 some after 46 years the party was still the most popular in the country. They said the PPP rendered meritorious services to the Chitrali people by establishing the degree college, a hydropower house and initiating other development projects. The speakers also demanded early opening of the LOwari tunnel for vehicular traffic during winter. Muhammad Hakeem Advocate stressed upon the party workers to strengthen unity among themselves and focus on service to the people. At the end, they also cut a cake.
