Annual inter-school sports tournament concludes

CHITRAL, Nov 13: The annual inter-school sports tournament and competition of co-curricular activities concluded here at Government High School Chitral after lasting for ten days. Assistant commissioner Chitral Hafiz Muhammad Nawaz Qaiserani gave away prizes to the winner teams and those securing top positions in the activities of declamation contest, quiz, husne qiraat, naat khwani and drawing and painting. The winner teams in the sports included Government High School Chitral (foot ball and marathon race), Government High School Mori Lusht (volley ball and cricket) and High School Chumurkone (tug of war). In the co-curricular activities competitions, the winner schools included the government high schools of Kosht (declamation contest), Chitral (Husne Qiraat), Muzhgole (naat khwani) and Chuinj (drawing and painting). Addressing on the occasion, the chief guest described the importance of sports and co-curricular activities in the development of inter-personnel skills and character building coupled with healthy physique. He asked the students to fully participate in such activities and sports but maintain a proper balance between their studies and sports by proper time to both of them.
