Chitrali students present ‘unique culture award’ to Kalash artists
KARACHI, Oct 6: The three-day eighth Expo Pakistan inaugurated by the President on September 26 concluded on Sunday.
Local and foreign businessmen took keen interest in the exhibition. As many as 16 Kalash women performed on this occasion. A delegation of Chitral Student and Social Welfare Association (CSSWO) led by its General Secretary Ali Fateh Khan met and presented the Kalash artists a “Unique Culture Award “ from the association.
Addressing the gathering, the General Secretary said you people are the peace ambassadors of Chitral. He also briefed them about the organization’s vision and activities and how it is working in field of education and social sector in Karachi and Chitral, promoting the culture of Chitral and helping needy patients.
They thanked CSSWA’s efforts and said we love and respect each other because we all are Chitralis and it will be memorable for us that our Chitrali brothers encouraged us by an award here in the international exhibition.
The CSSWA in a statement on Sunday said it is the only registered association of Chitrali students and youth in Pakistan that has been providing social and educational services for the last four years.
