KARACHI, Aug 26: The Chairperson of the Aga Khan Health Service Pakistan (AKHS-P), Dr. Rashida Ahmed, has issued a press statement on the Chitral office incident on Monday.
“We are deeply shocked and saddened by the unfortunate incident that took place at the Aga Khan Health Centre, Chitral, today where both Sardar Ayub (28-year-old) a patient suffering from mental illness and Farhana Mahmoud, therapeutic counsellor were found dead.” Authorities have initiated a preliminary investigation and are gathering further details.
The Aga Khan Health Services is working cooperatively to support the local authorities to gather information as required. Families of the deceased have been informed.
