SRSP thanks for powerhouse project
CHITRAL, Aug 22: The office-bearers of Shinteri Development and Conservation Organization (SDCO) Damil, Malik Fazal Mughni, Ibadur Rahman and others have express their gratitude to Shahzada Masoodul Mulk, chief executive of Sarhad Rural Support Program (SRSP), for approval of hydro-power station in their valley. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, they said that the remote and backward valley of Damil was without electricity due to which stress was increasing on the local for lighting, cooking and fuel purposes. They said that after having been disappointed from the government, they turned to the SRSP which readily acceded to their request and after conducting survey it was found that 500 kilo watt capacity hydro-power station can be built in the valley. The elites said that Shahzada Masood put the project on fast track and work will be started on the project shortly which will bring progress and prosperity to the area. They also thanked Tariq Ahmed, the district manager of SRSP for his efforts who visited the remote area many a times to hold dialogue with the community.]]>
