Man killed, three injured over drinking water

CHITRAL, Jul 15: A man was killed and three of his cousins were injured when their rivals opened fire on them over a petty dispute on drinking water here Monday evening. An official at the Chitral police station said at Iftar time an altercation took place between the two groups over their turn on drinking water tap at Ochusht area. As a result, one of the group members opened indiscriminate firing. The firing resulted in the death of Sajjad Ahmad whereas three of his cousins received serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. Relatives of the deceased have charged their rivals Mohammad Qasim, Mohammad Waqar and others with the commission of the offence. The suspects managed to escape from the scene.–Zahiruddin]]>
