Happy Imamat Day to our Ismaili readers!

CHITRAL, July 10: ChitralToday (chitraltoday.net) wishes its Ismaili readers a very happy Imamat Day falling on the first day of the holy month of Ramazan, 1434 AH. The Ismaili community in Chitral, like in other parts of the country and the world, are celebrating the 56th Imamat Day on July 11, 2013. His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of the Ismaili Muslims, ascended the throne of Imamat on July 11, 1957, upon the death of his grandfather and the 48th Imam Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan III. This year, as the day falls on the first of Ramazan, the Imamat Day will be celebrated in a simple manner and there will be congregations in Jamat Khanas in the evening only. Usually, different programmes are held at daytime which this year will not be organized due to the holy month.]]>
