CHITRAL, June 13: Former MNA from Chitral Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali has condemned the federal government for neglecting Lowari Tunnel project in the federal budget. budgetAddressing a press conference here on Thursday, he warned the government that a protest movement will be launched if at least five billion rupees were not set aside for the mega project in the budget. He said that the protest movement would be of immense magnitude in which people from all political parties would take part irrespective of their political affiliations. He said that the people of Chitral had pinned high hopes on the PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif for the completion of the tunnel but the budget speech had sent shock waves across the valley.   1. I don’t understand the mindset of Chitrali people. You didn’t vote for PML-N (federal government) or PTI (provincial govt) then why you pin high hopes on their governments. You must know that you have elected your leaders from PPP and APML so until they come to power, do no expect anything good from the current governments.
    I request all the Chitrali people to please sit back, relax and enjoy the darkness while the other parts of the country are developed.
