Traders of both New and Shahi bazaars thanked Shahzada Khalid Pervez of the All-Pakistan Muslim League (APML) for taking personal interest in resolving the issue. The old transformer developed fault a week back after which the power supply to the business center remained disrupted. Shahzada Pervez, however, arranged a new transformer on a priority basis and got it installed.
Speaking to a gathering of traders after installing the transformer, the APLM leader said that his father Shahzada Mohiuddin, MNA, during his tenure as MNA and district council nazim and chairman during the last about 25 years spent over Rs30 million only on development of electricity infrastructure in the district. He said he would continue the tradition of his father’s public service and serve the people.
Speaking on the occasion, the president of the traders association appreciated the role of Shahzada Khalid Pervez in resolving the long-standing issue of electricity in the market.
