Why not Chitral province?

DROSH, May 29: The national media is stormed by the hue and cry over the formation of new provinces in the country. Some people talk about Hazara, others talk about Seraiki province. [caption id="attachment_2240" align="alignleft" width="150" caption="Why not Chitral?"][/caption] MQM is strongly supporting new provinces with the hope of having its own kingdom in Jennahpur or Muhajir province: (what a meaningful name?). There is also voice for Bahalpure province in southern Punjab. Amir Muqam is suggesting Shangla and Malakand province. I wonder why don’t the people and political parties of Chitral demand provincial status to Chitral. As a matter of fact, Chitral is more befitting a case for a province than Hazara, Malakand, Muhajir and Bahawalpur provinces. My arguments are as follows: Chitral has vast territory spreading over 14,850 square-km; Chitral has international borders with Afghanistan. It is in close proximity to Tajikistan, China and Kashmir. Chitral has rich natural resources including water, minerals and gems; Chitral is rich in human resource and has a history of 1000 years in statecraft. The peaceful atmosphere of Chitral justifies the case for a progressive and forward looking province. By floating the idea of a case for Chitral province, I hop your learned readers will support my humble suggestion.
