CHITRAL, May 10: Police here claimed to have recovered a huge amount of explosive material in the form of potassium chlorate coming from Garum Chashma.
Station house officer Chitral Zafar Ahmed said on a tip-off he kept surveillance on vehicles and passengers coming from the down districts for smuggling.
He said that early Thursday he found 20 bags of explosives – carrying 25 kg each – being loaded into a Toyota jeep from another vehicle.
He said later Jalaluddin of Parabek village was arrested under section 5 of explosives substance act. The local court gave the accused under the custody of police for one day.–Zahiruddin]]>
