Taxi drivers to Yarkhun go on strike

Talking to, Zarabahar Khan said the fare fixed by the district administration from Chitral to the Yarkhun valley was beyond understanding and devoid of logic. He said the distance from Chitral to the valley was more than 250 km. Moreover; the shabby condition of roads coupled with rising prices of petroleum and spare parts has made it impossible for the transporters to continue service at the fares fixed by the district administration. He added: “We are poor people and if we follow the instruction of the administration, earning bread and butter for our families would be difficult for us”.
