Chitrali student awarded in Islamabad

CHITRAL, April 24: Musa Rahim Khan, a resident of Washich in the Torkow valley and a student of Aga Khan Higher Secondary School Chitral, was awarded a cash prize of Rs25,000 at the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) head office in Islamabad. 

Dr. Manzoor H. Soomro, the chairman of PSF, was the chief guest on the occasion. It is pertinent to mention that Musa Rahim Khan was declared the grand winner of national level Intel Science Fair held in Islamabad in January this year. He is among the five brilliant Pakistani students who will represent the country in International level Intel Science Fair to be held in America on May 12.

Dr. Manzoor Soomro, Dr. Khalil Ahmad Ibopoto, member PSF, and Khadija Bashir, Project Director Intel Pakistan, congratulated Musa Rahim, his parents, the principal of AKHSS Chitral Mr Zulfiqar Ali and his teacher Mr Ajmal Khan for his great achievement.

They said despite hailing from a backward and far-flung district of Pakistan Musa Rahim is endowed with enormous talent and the entire people of Chitral should feel proud of him. The teacher of Musa Rahim was also awarded rupees 1,000 cash prize by PSF.
