We will win next elections, says JI leader

CHITRAL, May 27: Provincial general secretary of Jamaat-i-Islami Shabbir Ahmed Khan has claimed that his party will win the next general elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with majority.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony of a two-day training programme for the party members here on Sunday, he said the situation in the country have reached to such an end that the people were now vying for a change. He said the party workers had already launched groundwork for the elections and chalked out plan for bringing voters to the polling stations. He reiterated that like the Arab Spring, change in Pakistan was inevitable but it would be through the ballot.
Regarding the revival of MMA, he said the option of seat adjustment with any party, including JUI-F, was likely but there were many hurdles in the revival of the alliance due to the stubborn attitude of other parties.
The district chief of the party, Maulana Sher Aziz, presented a report regarding the state of preparation for the election in Chitral for which he added that a mass contact campaign had been launched.–Zahiruddin
